O COME, O COME EMMANUEL

What a wonderful time of year to think about the
birth of our Savior. God loves us so much that He
sent His only Son to earth as a fragile and vulnerable
baby.

I read in Scripture how often they tried to kill
Jesus, but he ‘slipped through the crowd.’ Nothing
can stop God’s plans. When the time was right,
Jesus died to open a way for our sins to be
covered under His blood.

His first mission on Earth was completed. His
return is next and it’s also firmly promised.
At the end of the Bible, the last words we have
from Jesus are that He would be coming back soon.

My gift to you this Christmas is a song arrangement

1) Write a Song…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The most important holiday is coming up. Paul
wrote that if Jesus wasn’t raised from the dead,
our faith would be futile. Very few question His
crucifixion, but many don’t believe that Jesus
rose from the dead.

I thought it would be fitting to encourage
people of all ages to write a song from their
own heart with the cross and/or resurrection of
Christ as the theme.

The primary incentive should be that it pleases
God when we focus our hearts on Him and
appreciate all He has done for us. As another
incentive, I’m again providing a platform for
these songs to be shared and voted on. All the

This time I’m trying 3 categories: kids, adults
and songs of other languages.

books of volumes one and two to facilitate
teaching worship guitar classes. For ideas on

The world isn’t so sure of the resurrection, but
it’s probably the best documented event in
history. It is certainly the most important
event in history!

Bethany Worship storiesBethany Waters send
me her picture with the
new guitar and DVDs.
Thought it would be fun
to share with you. God
is so gracious. They only
sent the contest website
to a few friends, but
somehow the email was
circulated and then
someone posted it on
their Homeschool Website.

Bethany was surprised to
receive calls and emails from
people who heard her song.
It was also exciting to hear
that the Women’s Bible Study
at their church decided to use Bethany’s song.
She was 11.

I praise God for all the children that wrote
songs and I just couldn’t take them down.
Those that wanted to stay are still up at –

The adults are still up too. Many have CD’s and
I’ve made their names clickable so you may
visit their sites and perhaps pick up a CD for

Jesus was born on earth for the sole purpose
of dying at the cross for us. He loves us so
much that he paid the price for all our sins
in that one act.

Now, in Christ, death is swallowed up. Although
it’s hard to lose wonderful people like Isaac
on this side of Heaven, we will soon be
together forever, in new bodies.

You can tell Isaac that you read about him
on Jean’s blog. I’m looking forward to meeting
him, and all of you. Do you suppose we can
do a big group hug in Heaven?
